The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create an exercise class that is both effective and addictive! My fun and friendly classes have been running in the Didsbury area since March 2010 and many of my members have been attending since then (be warned you will be hooked!) Zumba® is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness and you do not need to know how to dance!

Metafit™ uses High Intensity Interval training (HIIT). The classes last 30 minutes and use bodyweight exercises which target the largest muscle groups in the body for greater effect. Trust me 30 minutes is long enough! Quality not quantity! This style of training will raise your resting metabolic rate after your workout meaning that you will continue to burn calories for up to 24 hours after the workout has finished.
Metafit™ is not an endurance class so there’s no need for you to pace yourself . The idea is that you work yourself to the max because you know it won’t last for long and you will soon get a recovery period. The class will begin with a five-minute warm up, and then it’s straight into the short, high- intensity workouts, which can involve anything from push-ups and planks to burpees and squats. The number of repetitions and length of each depends on the exercise, but may be as little as three repetitions with just 20 seconds of intense exercise followed by a 20-second break before the next one starts. There is no choreography so don’t worry if you don’t know your left from your right! If you want great results this is the class for you.

Pop Pilates with mini balls and bands
I have created a Pilates class which uses a more of a functional approach to the traditional Pilates class. It still applies the main principles of Pilates, such as Breathing, Centering, Concentration, Balance and Control, but it also involves more functional movements for everyday life. It is a faster moving class to regular Pilates and is all set in time to music from the latest charts. This class will improve overall body strength with the lots of emphasis on your back and core muscles. It will also help to improve posture, mobility, joint problems and tone your body. In my class we use mini balls and resistance bands to make things a bit more interesting!
Is this Pilates class suitable for everyone?
This class is designed for the healthy adult. It is not for people who have chronic back problems and who are currently having treatment with a Physiotherapist/Doctor. It also isn't suitable for pregnant participants.
